Teaching her to ride a bike

I've been trying to teach my daughter to ride a bike. Oooof! That little girl can be SOOO stubborn! She can ride a bike. She's made it around the culdasack a number of times. But she had so little confidence in herself that if there is the slightest wobble she gives up right away. It can be quite frustrating because I know she can do it.
I just recently bought her a new bike. One that is more her size. She outgrew her old one, and it was barely used. Oh well. The new one has six speeds, brakes on the handlebars (she didn't like the brakes where she had to press backwards on the pedals). She has yet to try this bike out. I'm hoping this weekend we can give it a go. There are times when she wants to ride her bike, but those are few and far between. Let's keep our fingers crossed that this weekend will be one of them. I look forward to when she can ride next to me while I go for my runs. I think that would be a lot of fun for both of us.
